Well I never thought I would ever be asking for your prayers personally, not sure if any of you know but my mother had a fall a while ago and broke her hip which is now pinned. She is in alot of pain and now they are testing for kidney failure due to her diabetes her potasium level is high among other things and she is on saline drips.
She is not eating much and was bullied on one night by a male nurse who besides shouting at her for ringing her bell because she wanted to go to the loo also gave her a push resulting in mum wetting the bed...but he is now being investigated.
She is becoming depressed and is very frightened and worrrying about what will happen to her. She is 86.

So for once I am asking for something for myself PLEASE pray that my mum gets better.

I definateley will. Bless her. These carers/nurses etc are supposed to be a caring profession for Gods sake. he was bloody out of order, and wants to loose his job and go to court for this.

It's frightening enough to have an injury, and be in the hospital without having to be scared of the nurses. Thats terrible. I've never understood why people who don't have patience or compassion get into any kind of service work. It's not like nurses don't know they'll be working with sick and injured people who will have needs.

I hope they assign her some extra wonderful nurses to make up for this guy. One's that will brighten her day and give her back some hope.

I've had bully nurses before, and usually end up in tears. They have no empathy, you can't appeal to their sense of fair play or reason, because they only want their own way, immediately if not sooner, and don't care what they have to say or do to get it.

I usually forgive them for being so rotten, ignorant and shallow, just to get rid of the anger for what they have done, so I can move on and heal with a more peaceful frame of mind.

lord have mercy! the medical profession strikes again....i cant think of enough bad things to call that nurse....my prayers and healing energy goes out to your mum irene! if your the apple that fell from her tree than she must be a tough lady.....im hoping her fear, depression and worry fade so she can have a clear head to help her body heal! sending all the positive energy i have her way! god bless!

Whoa! Firstly, gentle hugs and healing for your mum Irene. And a big blanket of protection over her to ward off the monster nurse. May she be sent an angel to look over and care for her while she is in hospital and recovering.

That nurse needs suspending while getting help for some issues I think. He is not helping anyone right now with that behaviour - he's doing damage.

Hey I may get to meet her one day!!!!

She has been on a drip up till today they have now removed it also had to keep taking Magnesium drinks I think that was because her potassium level was up and down..I know her sugar level was up to danger point and they had problems balancing that to what it should be also she had been on a cathiter as well because of the amount of fluids she had to take, but they took that out today.

Now they have told us she has cellulitus that she has been getting injections for, her arm was swollen too but think that has gone down. Now they are trying to get her mobile again ..how her hip is healing I don't know, will know more when I see her myself at the weekend and chat with doctors.

As far as that nurse goes, he needs to find a different job. His patients are not there for his convenience, and if he doesn't like his job that much then he should go somewhere that he can't bully patients. I have a bad habit of bullying right back with people like that. His actions and attitude should be mentioned to the head nurse or his immediate supervisors.

Still praying for your mum irene, and i agree, they should relocate that nurse to the morge!!!! at least he cant hurt anyone down there. only the lowest of the low would treat someone like that!

He will get his cumuppance I know that, will get the chance to see mum on Sunday she doe's not know I am coming to visit.

He's gotten too much of our energy already, imo we shouldn't give him any more.

I think now that she's in continuing care she'll have a chance to heal better. Aside from the creep, she's got more care around her now. I'm just going to believe that she'll be fine after she's healed.

My nephew an niece got permission to take mum out of the hospital for an hour yesterday when they took her back she begged them not to,she cried like a baby.

When I got there to see her, she looked so small and frail she was like a little girl I could see she was depressed she looked so sad. Mum is worrying what is going to happen to her when she gets out but if possible she will be going home to her own bedroom if not hopefully my sister will give up her sitting room downstairs to create a room for her.

She is only picking at her food and mum was always one to eat anything if it moved or not and now she has a nasty blister on the back of her heal that if not seen to will end up a pressure point (bed sore) Natalie who works for the Ambulance dept is going in there today to have a strong word with the powers to be.

Oh Irene! How heartbreaking. Have you talked to your sister about the possibility of your mum going to be with her?
